About Richard

Mr. Taggart concentrates his practice in the areas of federal and state taxation, estate planning, probate, and commercial transactions. In his practice, Mr. Taggart serves a broad range of clients, advising them of the business and tax consequences of:

  • the formation of corporations, S corporations, general and limited partnerships, joint ventures and limited liability companies
  • mergers, acquisitions and corporate financings
  • various estate planning strategies and probate
 

He also advises and assists clients with the formation and administration of trusts and estates, guardianship and conservatorships, charitable trusts, family partnerships and other transfers of wealth matters.  Additionally, Mr. Taggart represents taxpayers in state and local tax matters, including sales and use taxes and ad valorem taxes.
